SFA Anglers Win College Championship

Sanctioned college fishing  tournaments is a relatively new concept, however, in the short period of time that it has taken place, the teams put together from Stephen F Austin State University have done very well.

This year is no exception as team SFA with Kyle Turner and Robert Platt took home top honors this past weekend at the National Guard FLW College Fishing Southern Conference Championship held in Arkansas. 

Turner and Platt were trailing going into the final day, but hauled in five bass weighing just over 16 pounds to take the trophy.

Team SFA now qualifies to head to the College Fishing National Championship.
