The Lufkin Police Department along with the Texas Department of Public Safety have issued a Silver Alert for a Lufkin senior who may be in physical danger due to lack of medication.  The official press release from law enforcement follows: 

The Lufkin Police Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety have issued a “Silver Alert” for Arthur Henry Foster of Lufkin.  Mr. Foster is a 79 year old white male, 6’04”/250 lbs, with Brown eyes and gray hair.  He left his residence in Lufkin at approximately 4:30 AM on June 1, 2013 in a silver/gray 1997 Dodge pickup bearing Texas plate# BR56573 in an unknown direction.  Mr. Foster is believed to be in the early stages of Alzheimer’s/Dementia, is Diabetic and has heart problems and high blood pressure.  He has not had his medication since May 31, 2013, and is believed to be in physical danger due to not having his medication with him.  Mr. Foster was last seen wearing  a light blue button up shirt, black pants and possibly a gray hat.  Anyone who has seen Mr. Foster is urged to contact the Lufkin Police Department immediately at (936)633-0356.
