Sing to Win Tickets to the 50th Annual ACM Awards

On Sunday, April 19th, the biggest gathering of country music stars, performances, and fans will take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington for the 50th anniversary of the Academy of Country Music Awards.  Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton will once again host the show.   As you would expect, tickets have been sold out for months. 

However, you can still get a pair of tickets...for free.

KICKS 105 has teamed up with Dr Pepper and Lufkin Coca Cola for your chance to win a pair of tickets.  It seems only appropriate that in order to win these tickets to one of the biggest country performances of all time...you have to perform, on stage.

On Saturday, March 21st, the KICKS 105 Road Show will be at the Walmart Supercenter in Lufkin from Noon - 2.  During that time we'll be having a talent contest.  Qualifying contestants will get to sing karaoke to one of three pre-chosen Darius Rucker songs.  The winning singer will win the tickets to the ACM Awards.  Rucker is a spokesman for Dr Pepper.

How do you qualify?  Which Darius Rucker Songs? Will there be an opportunity to just walk up to the road show and get in the competition?

• Send us an audio or video recording of you singing any song a cappella.  E-mail the file along with your name and contact information to Danny@kicks105.com
• Deadline to submit your entry is Thursday, March 19th at 5 p.m.
• Those who qualify for the Saturday contest will be contacted before noon on Friday, March 20th.
• Qualifiers must be available between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 21st.
• Qualifiers will get their choice to sing one of three Darius Rucker songs - 'Wagon Wheel', 'Radio', or 'Don't Think I Don't Think About It'. (click the song title for lyrics)
• Qualifiers will only need to sing the first 60 seconds of the song
• Registrations will be taken at the KICKS Road Show from noon to 1 p.m. for some 'Wild Card' qualifiers that will be drawn for at 1 p.m.
• All Darius Rucker karaoke versions will be in the same key as the original songs.
• Contestants under the age of 18 are allowed, however, a parent or legal guardian must be present at the contest.  In the case of a minor winning the contest, the parent or legal guardian will be given the tickets.
• Judges decisions are final
