Thomas Rhett may be a fairly new name to radio listeners, but he's been penning hits for some of country's biggest stars, including Jason Aldean and Lee Brice, for a few years now. Rhett isn't staying behind the curtain though. So far he's had two of his own songs hit the country charts, Something To Do With My Hands and Beer WIth Jesus. While both of these enjoyed some success, Rhett's newest single, It Goes Like This, just might be the one to send him to the top.

It Goes Like This it starts off with a magnetic tempo; it's slow but you can tell it's building up to something good. The chorus picks the beat up and you'll be singing along in no time with its addictive lyrics and easy hook, making it different than other love songs floating around on the radio. "And it goes like ooh, what I wouldn't do/ To write my name on your heart, get you wrapped in my arms baby all around you/ And it goes like hey, girl I'm blown away/ Yea it starts with a smile and it ends with an all night long slow kiss/ Yea it goes like this." Rhett delivers these lines flawlessly, changing speed and pitch with ease.

Also setting It Goes Like This apart from others like it? The artist himself. Rhett's songwriting skills are sharp and he has the voice to back it up. I've always favored those artists whose voices have a little more country twang to them and Rhett has just that. It's smooth at points but then his accent comes out at just the right moments. Because of this, It Goes Like This might become one of those that goes on repeat...a lot.
