It's been a while since we have referenced this rainfall potential map, but things are looking promising over the next several days when it comes to rain and cooler temperatures for East Texas.

A cool front is expected to 'wash out' across parts of Texas and Louisiana over the weekend.  Now, anyone who has lived in East Texas for a while should realize that when a cool front in August is mentioned that just means the high temps should dip from about 100 to the low 90's.  But, beggars can't be choosers, so we'll take it.

In fact, forecasters believe that before the weekend is over a widespread area of Deep East Texas could receive 2-3 inches of rain.  Central and eastern Louisiana could get nearly 8 inches of rain.
