The SFA Lumberjacks are playing some of the best basketball in their history.  That's a big statement, but it's true.  Here are the facts.  SFA is 14-1 on the year.  They have beaten Oklahoma on the road.  The Sooners are currently undefeated and tied for first in the Big 12 Conference.  SFA also beat Tulsa and Southland Conference favorite Oral Roberts, both road contests.

The Lumberjacks also LEAD THE NATION in scoring defense and they are ranked in the top 15 nationwide in the mid major college basketball poll.

Tonight, SFA will put their perfect Southland Conference mark on the line (5-0) as they play host to the Southeastern Louisiana Lions.  Over the course of the Christmas holidays SFA played in front of rather sparse crowds.  Hopefully that can be attributed to the alternate plans of so many during the holidays, plus most all of the student body had returned home to enjoy the vacation. Well, the students are back and the holidays are over and head coach Danny Kaspar and the Lumberjacks are counting on the fans of SFA and just the fans of great NCAA Division 1 basketball to pack the coliseum tonight and Saturday.

The Ladyjacks will take to the court first tonight beginning at 6 with the Lumberjacks tipping off around 8.  Then, Saturday, it's another home double header as SFA takes on Nicholls State with the first game starting at 4.

Wear your purple and Axe 'Em, Jacks.
