A Lufkin man was arrested and charged with a slew of offenses including assault, theft, and burglary.  Jakendrick McGregor is suspected of breaking into a vehicle, assaulting someone who tried to stop him, and fleeing the scene.  He even went so far as to brag to a police officer about part of the spree.

The following is taken from the Lufkin Police Report:

Officers arrested Jakendrick McGregor, 22, after he broke into a Mitsubishi Endeavor at DP Solutions and then pushed and punched the vehicle owner's co-worker in the face upon being confronted. The co-worker and another co-worker chased McGregor to a nearby house at 417 Lynn Avenue but lost him after he ran behind a backyard fence.

After searching the area, officers learned from a neighbor that 417 Lynn Avenue is vacant. Officers then stopped three people walking out of the home, including McGregor, who was identified by the co-workers as the suspect.

Because McGregor punched the co-worker, he is being charged with robbery instead of burglary of a vehicle. On his way to jail, McGregor told the officer he only broke into "that" vehicle, meaning the one in the DP Solutions parking lot. McGregor added that he "whooped that man's (expletive)."
