Hard work and perseverance...and a lot of community support and fun came together for this past week's 64th Annual Angelina County Fair.  The auction, which was moved to Saturday this year, ended up raising over $318,000 for the youth of East Texas.

Wednesday was a day of competition in pies, cookies, breads, and rabbits at the Angelina County Youth Fair at the George H Henderson Jr Expo Center in Lufkin.  You can get the complete list of winners later in this blog.

Desserts, cheesecakes, rabbits, and broilers...just some of the competitions that took place on day one of the Angelina County Youth Fair.  In fact, the list of all the winners is located later in this blog, however, we do want to say a special thanks for the young men and women who joined us on the Merrell in the Morning show today.

The 64th annual Angelina County Fair gets underway today at the George H Henderson Jr Expo Center in Lufkin.  There are a few changes this year, beginning first with the name, we've transitioned to the 'county fair' instead of the 'youth fair', although, calling it the youth fair is still fine.

It was a pleasure again this morning to have some more of the outstanding youth who are participating in the 62nd annual Angelina County Youth Fair. Today, we had yesterday's winners in several shows such as market hog, market goat, beef heifer, and steer. Today, I had the pleasure of interviewing more Angelina County students who are participating in the 62nd annual Youth Fair. The Angelina County Youth Fair is getting into full swing at the George H Henderson Expo Center in Lufkin.
