Summer is my favorite time of the year, not only because my birthday falls in this season, but also because there's no school and no snow! Though it gets extremely hot and humid in Texas, we can't complain about the sunshine -or the cold treats we can eat to try and cool down.

Now that school is out, there's nothing better than taking the kids away from the television screen and getting outside to play. To be honest, I haven't experienced much of the single life since I was 17 years old. I've had three long-term relationships in my 23 years of existence (and no, I don't count my kindergarten crush as one of them), almost back-to-back, and never really got a chance to be single & mingle.

So, I asked some of my coworkers at the station where the best places were to meet singles in east Texas, and I was given a few interesting answers - some of the places, I would never have thought to go to search for potential suitors.
