In the Spring of 2015, we felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in hunger for dessert, and were suddenly silenced. On Monday, December 14th, the Force awakens.
According to a release from Blue Bell Ice Cream, East Texas is about to have their favorite ice cream back! Everything in green on the map is Phase 3, the next roll out. Here is that press release:
So close, yet so far away...that's a good way to describe Blue Bell Ice Cream's return to Deep East Texas. On November 2nd, the iconic dessert will be making its way into stores within the Phase Two roll out area.
Over the past several weeks, over 140 KICKS 105 listeners qualified to win free Blue Bell Ice Cream for one year -- that's 52 half gallons of the best ice cream there is. Thursday morning, the winner was drawn on the Merrell in the Morning Show.
That is what a year's worth of Blue Bell Ice Cream looks like. A KICKS 105 listener is going to win a free half gallon of Blue Bell every week for one year.
We have a date!
Monday, August 31st Blue Bell Ice Cream will be returning to stores (leave it to Blue Bell to brighten up a Monday). However, Lufkin, Nacogdoches, and most of East Texas will have to wait.
I don't have a tail that I can wag, but if I did, it would be going in turbo mode whenever the reps from Blue Bell ice cream walk through our studio doors, because I know this means they're introducing a new flavor or two to the grocery shelves and we get to do some sampling.
I love it when the folks from Blue Bell walk through our front door with samples of their newest flavors.
Have you tried Key Lime Pie or Red Velvet Cake yet?
