After seven days of voting, Brantley Gilbert‘s fans proved what the singer already knew: His supporters are the most passionate in all of country music. The BG Nation took over 35 percent of reader votes in a week-long readers poll, easily topping second and third place finishers Taylor Swift‘s Swifties and Scotty McCreery‘s McCreerians.
Though it’s a customary tradition to exchange parting gifts at the end of a successful tour, newcomer Brantley Gilbert learned firsthand after the first leg the Blood, Sweat and Beers Tour wrapped earlier this year that Eric Church goes above and beyond with presents.
Every vote counts on the KICKS 105 Country Clash. Great evidence of that came with our last battle which involved the new songs from D. Vincent Williams and Lauren Alaina.
Alaina won the online voting by 7 votes, Williams won the call in voting by 9 votes.
Which means D. Vincent Williams is our new champion. He will now face the latest from Brantley Gilbert.
It’s safe to say that Brantley Gilbert is one of the hottest rising stars in country music right now. As a songwriter, his tunes ‘My Kinda Party’ and ‘Dirt Road Anthem,’ recorded by Jason Aldean, and his own chart-topping hit, ‘Country Must Be Country Wide,’ soared, pushing him over the top and making him a fan favorite.
Summertime is just around the corner, which means country music’s hottest artists are gearing up for tour season to launch into overdrive. And there’s no exception for Toby Keith, who just announced his 2012 tour coming in June.
Twenty-one just might turn out to be Eric Church‘s new lucky number. Church, who is currently criss-crossing the country on his first headlining trek, the Blood, Sweat and Beers Tour, has officially sold out a total of 21 shows, as his upcoming May 19 performance at the legendary Red Rocks Amplitheatre in Morrison, Colo. has just reached capacity.
Jason Aldean is going for win number 6 today on the KICKS 105 Country Clash as 'Fly Over States' takes on 'Something To Do With My Hands' by Thomas Rhett.
You may remember Rhett...he was the opening act for Brantley Gilbert last November at our Taste of Country Christmas show at Banita Creek Hall...and judging by everyone's reaction, he was a huge hit.
'Better Than I Used To Be', the new song from Tim McGraw is now the new champion on the KICKS 105 Country Clash. Over the past weekend, which included 2 separate years, McGraw took 57% of the vote in his match up against 'You Don't Know Her Like I Do' by Brantley Gilbert.
McGraw will now take on 'Time Is Love', the new song from Josh Turner.
'You Don't Know Her Like I Do' by Brantley Gilbert takes down another opponent on the KICKS 105 Country Clash...this time getting 62% of the vote against the new song from the Eli Young Band.
Brantley moves on to take on 'Better Than I Used To Be', the new song from Tim McGraw.
'You Don't Know Her Like I Do' by Brantley Gilbert wins again, this time taking 75% of the vote against the latest by Ronnie Dunn.
Now, Gilbert will be matched up against the new song from the Eli Young Band. Take a listen to both songs after the jump.
Brantley Gilbert has released his first song since scoring a number one with 'Country Must Be Country Wide', and that new release defeated the new song from Taylor Swift in yesterday's Country Clash.
Now, Gilbert will take on the latest from Ronnie Dunn.
