It's been abnormally dry over the past two months across the Lone Star State, however, the fact that we had a wet Spring statewide meant great vegetation for deer and this deer season hunters should be reaping the benefits.
Deer season is in full swing in East Texas. That means trips to the lease before sun up, numerous near miss stories, and, of course, parody deer hunting songs.
No doubt that there are a number of East Texans getting giddy about this Saturday.
General deer season will open November 1st and hunters are geared to bag their first doe or buck. Youth only season opened last weekend.
The general white-tailed deer season kicks off this weekend across East Texas and it looks like the weather is going to be great. To help get the season underway, I thought I would put up a video of a guy skinning and gutting a deer in under two minutes.
