The Dixie Chicks released their ‘Storytellers’ DVD last month, featuring 11 intimate VH1 performances from 2006. Aside from a documentary and the Emily Robison and Martie Maguire duo Courtyard Hounds, fans haven’t heart much from the group as a trio since that show in Los Angeles. Robison says she’s hoping that changes.

It's been 8 1/2 years since the words were spoken.

March 10th, 2003, while on stage at a concert in London, Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks said the following in reference to the invasion of Iraq 'We don't want this war, this violence, and we're ashamed that the President of the United States is from Texas'.

The reaction was immediate and overwhelmingly negative, especially from country music fans.

At KICKS 105, we have not played the Dixie Chicks since that time, but that decision is not because of what they said.
