The 48th anniversary lighting festivities for Rudolph the Red Nosed Pumping Unit are set to kick off Saturday, November 22nd at 5 p.m. in the Lufkin Mall parking lot.  The forecast for that time is not so great which has led to questions as to whether the event is still a go.

From a press release published by GE earlier today: Seeking to improve and sustain its manufacturing capabilities to meet the growing demand for oil and gas production and power transmission equipment, GE Oil & Gas (NYSE: GE) today announced it plans to invest $60 million in expanding and modernizing its foundry operations in Lufkin.
