Halloween ain't cheap. Add up the costumes, the candy, and the decorations, and most of us are spending about $80 on the holiday. And then add the alcohol at the adult costume party and, well, that could double.
Autumn is here. Depending on where you are in East Texas, you might not know the Fall season has begun, what with our evergreen pine trees and super Texas heat. Some leaves start to turn brown, pumpkin spice starts to appear on menus, and creepy clowns start popping up all over the news.
Halloween is not far off, and October will be a great time to discover some new "haunts."
One haunted spot not far from Lufkin is in a section of a former nursing home. Another haunted space is on the SFA campus. And apparently, a ghost named Chester hangs out at one building in Nacogdoches.
Saturday night at the KICKS 105 Halloween Bash at Banita Creek Hall we had quite the array of costumes. Some were simple, some were elaborate, while others, well, we're still trying to find the words for them.
