By the time she was a junior hurler with the Hudson Hornets softball team, Kelsee Selman had already committed to play ball at LSU. Then, in her junior and senior years, Selman and her teammates earned back to back 3A state championship titles.
Nearly two months ago, Hudson native Brandon Belt led the San Francisco Giants in homers and RBI's, then he was sidelined for 50 games thanks to a broken thumb that he suffered while getting hit by a pitch.
Well...this looks familiar. Diboll Lumberjacks...Hudson Hornets playing each other deep in the playoffs at Angelina College. In 2011, Diboll came away with a one run victory to knock Hudson out of the playoffs. But, this is 2013...what's gonna happen this time around?
What a great day for Major League Baseball and East Texas. One of our own is getting the call tonight as Hudson's own Brandon Belt is set to be the San Francisco Giants starting first baseman tonight as they travel to take on the Los Angeles Dodgers.
