Lufkin Mom with 5 Kids in Car Arrested for Drug Intoxication
A mother with five children in her car, believed to be intoxicated on the drug - PCP - was arrested in the lobby of the DPS office. Drugs were also found in the possession of Laricia Antionette Young.

Lufkin Thieves Caught Red-Handed Thanks to Unintended 9-1-1 Call
Dumb = Committing a crime.
Dumber = Inadvertently dialing someone while you are committing the crime.
Dumbest = That someone you dialed is the 9-1-1 dispatch.

Lufkin Police Release Identity of Man Found Dead in V.A. Parking Lot
This morning, officials with the Lufkin Police Department released details concerning yesterday's discovery of a man found dead with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The man's name was also made public for the first time.

East Texas Community, Lufkin PD Honor Eric Willmon
'Well done, good and faithful servant...enter into the joy of your Lord."
Officer Eric Willmon of the Lufkin Police Department passed away Tuesday evening, the result of a rare complication from a recent surgery.
There are no words that can take away the pain and grief that Eric's family, friends, fellow officers, and community are experiencing. But, great pride should be felt by those closest to him because of the outpouring of the words and actions of love and respect for this fine officer.

Wreck Shuts Down Northbound Loop At Highway 69 South In Lufkin Until 2
We received word just a few minutes ago that the northbound lanes of Loop 287 at Denman in Lufkin are shut down due to an 18 wheeler accident.
That section of the loop will be closed until at least 2pm today.

Winfred Kilgore Arrested For The Murder Of Joy Yvonne Bybee
In a press release made public today by the Lufkin Police Department, Winfred Kilgore has been charged with the murder of Joy Bybee who was found dead under a Lufkin bridge several days ago.
