Outstanding high school students from across Angelina County stopped by to pay a visit to the Merrell in the Morning Show today. The group is Leadership Tomorrow which is comprised of high school juniors who are leaders in their schools and communities, and have made a commitment to learn more about the businesses, people, and lifestyles of our East Texas area.

Lufkin 6th Grader Kendall Jackson In Studio With The Morning Show

We had a special guest on the Merrell in the Morning show today...the beautiful, talented, and fresh-scented Kendall Jackson.

She is a 6th grader at Lufkin Middle School and she brought us donuts (although she did lick off all the sprinkles)!!!

Kendall's parents were the top bidders to host the morning show held at the recent Bayou Bash which benefits St. Cyprian's. Some fun facts about Kendall follow the jump

Angelina County Youth Fair Winners On Friday's Merrell In The Morning Show

It was a pleasure again this morning to have some more of the outstanding youth who are participating in the 62nd annual Angelina County Youth Fair.

Today, we had yesterday's winners in several shows such as market hog, market goat, beef heifer, and steer.

There's more events going on today, but make sure you're on hand for the awards ceremony at 5 which will be followed by the auction.
