This Wednesday through Friday, a total of 36 girls and boys will try their hand at the KICKS 105 Mutton Bustin' Championships at the Angelina Benefit Rodeo.  Each night, 12 riders will be judged on how long they can stay on the back of a sheep.  The top 4 riders each night will make it back for the championship round on Saturday.

The Angelina Benefit Rodeo is coming April 24th-27th at the George H Henderson Jr Expo Center in Lufkin.  Year in and year out, this is one of the nation's best rodeos, in fact, it made the top five at the NFR awards ceremony in December.

The Nacogdoches Pro Rodeo and Steer Show gets kicked off this Thursday and continues through Saturday night.  The rodeo starts at 7:30 nightly, but at 7 it's mutton bustin' with KICKS 105 and Baskins.

Cowboys, cowgirls, horses, bulls, bullfighters...just some of the things that quickly come to mind when the Nacogdoches Pro Rodeo and Steer Show comes to mind.  And, let's not forget one of the most loved attractions - MUTTON BUSTING!

One of the most popular events of the Angelina Benefit Rodeo is the Mutton Bustin' Championship.  The rodeo will take place April 25th-28th at the Expo Center in Lufkin and once again 36 youngsters from around East Texas will have their shot at riding a sheep.

The Nacogdoches Pro Rodeo and Steer Show gets kicked off Thursday night and continues through Saturday at the Nacogdoches Expo Center.  Each night at 7, the rodeo will kick off with the KICKS 105 mutton bustin' competition sponsored by Baskin's. Here's the line up of riders for each night.

The Lufkin Host Lions Club and the Angelina Mounted Patrol kicked off the Angelina Benefit Rodeo last night at the George H. Henderson Expo Center in Lufkin. The rodeo continues through Saturday and tickets are available at Baskins in Lufkin and at area Brookshire Brothers stores...

Greased Lanolin. Wooly Booger. Wool-Dacious. Just some of the sheep names we've used in the past for our championship mutton bustin' at the Angelina Benefit Rodeo. Well, the rodeo is coming up April 27th-30th, and we need your help in naming the sheep.

11 kids between the ages of 3-7 came out Thursday to ride sheep for night one of the Nacogdoches Pro Rodeo and Steer Show. When the dust had settled and the wool cleared, Cody Kolb of Nacogdoches had the best ride with a score of 87 points...

Night number one of the Nacogdoches Pro Rodeo and Steer Show gets underway tonight at the Expo Center. Around 7 tonight, we'll have the first round of mutton bustin' - which in case you didn't know, is a bunch of youngsters trying their best to hold on for dear life on the back of a sheep.
