Mutton Busters Ready for the Nacogdoches Rodeo

Cowboys, cowgirls, horses, bulls, bullfighters...just some of the things that quickly come to mind when the Nacogdoches Pro Rodeo and Steer Show comes to mind. And, let's not forget one of the most loved attractions - MUTTON BUSTING!
The Nacogdoches Pro Rodeo and Steer Show kicks off on Thursday, March 22nd at 6:00 p.m. at the Nacogdoches County Expo Center.
Schedule of events for tonight includes the Nacogdoches Co 4H Pony Express at 6:45 p.m., Muttin Bustin' at 7:00 p.m. and the opening of the rodeo will start at 7:45 p.m.
The Nacogdoches Pro Rodeo and Steer Show is coming March 22nd-24th at the Nacogdoches Expo Center. Classic Pro Rodeo will once again be putting on a great family rodeo.
And, once again, KICKS 105 will be hosting the mutton bustin' competition each night just before the rodeo.
It's always such a great treat to watch the little cowboys and cowgirls compete in the mutton bustin' competition.
There were some great rides and a lot of jeans and shirts that had to make a least two runs in the washer to get clean
The third and final night of the Nacogdoches Pro Rodeo and Steer Show on Saturday night brought out some of the best rides of the mutton bustin' competition.
In the end, 6-year-old Regan Todd of Garrison scored the top ride of the night and the entire 3 days of competition with a ride of 90 points.
It was another night of great rides at the Nacogdoches Pro Rodeo and Steer Show Friday night.
Six year old Mattie Nicholson of Lufkin had the top score of the night in the mutton bustin' competition with a ride that merited 82 points.
11 kids between the ages of 3-7 came out Thursday to ride sheep for night one of the Nacogdoches Pro Rodeo and Steer Show.
When the dust had settled and the wool cleared, Cody Kolb of Nacogdoches had the best ride with a score of 87 points
Night number one of the Nacogdoches Pro Rodeo and Steer Show gets underway tonight at the Expo Center.
Around 7 tonight, we'll have the first round of mutton bustin' - which in case you didn't know, is a bunch of youngsters trying their best to hold on for dear life on the back of a sheep.
