March 3rd-6th, the city of Nacogdoches could make a strong case to be the live music capital of Texas. That's because over 30 bands and artists will be performing at downtown Nacogdoches venues during the annual Nacogdoches Music Festival.
The SFA Ladyjack and Lumberjack basketball teams are ready for the annual Cram the Coliseum event when they take on the A&M Corpus Christi Islanders this Saturday, Feb. 13. The women's game begins at 3:30 p.m., and the men's game will start at 6 p.m. in the William R. Johnson Coliseum.
Earlier this week, Nacogdoches firefighters were treated to home-cooked spaghetti dinners courtesy of the Pack 100 cub scouts. This Wolf den group of 7 and 8 year old boys visited all five stations in the city.
Rather than spend Thanksgiving weekend at home eating too much and stringing up Christmas lights, maybe a road trip to one of these fun Texas events would be a better idea. And we can still eat too much. Yay!
