Overcoming preconceived notions of what to expect based on what they look like is a staple of reality shows (see: Susan Boyle). And just because we've seen it before doesn't mean it gets any less amazing.

If you are a fan of redneck reality shows like I am, you are gonna love the new show premiering on CMT this Saturday night called "Big Texas Heat." It will feature the Trinity Police Department right here in East Texas, including Officer Justin Sikes, aka "Little Man" from Diboll.

Country singer Tim Cifers impressed ‘X Factor‘ viewers with a vulnerable and sensitive rendition of Luther Vandross’s ‘Dance With My Father’ that left one judge uninspired. The 30-year-old sales manager from North Carolina felt he gave his best effort, but L.A. Reid disagreed.

The CW is currently developing a reality show based on musical chairs. They’re calling it ‘Extreme Musical Chairs’ and, according to Variety, it “would transform the popular children’s game into a physically demanding competition with multiple rounds of elimination set in an indoor obstacle course.”

These days, there's a reality TV show competition for all kinds of things. But even if you're not into singing, modeling or cooking, you can still get in on the trend, with the History Channel's "Top Shot," which premiered Tuesday night.
