Wayne LaPierre, the executive vice president of the National Rifle Association, read a statement Friday morning in reaction to last week's shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut. He called for installing armed guards in schools to prevent future gun violence against students.

Central ISD Out of School Early Due to Water Issues

A water main break in the vicinity of Central ISD has caused there to be no water pressure for the schools there. For that reason all schools at Central ISD are releasing students at 10 this morning. Parents are asked not to pick up students until that time. Buses will run at 10am.
