Sanctioned college fishing tournaments is a relatively new concept, however, in the short period of time that it has taken place, the teams put together from Stephen F Austin State University have done very well.

This year is no exception as team SFA with Kyle Turner and Robert Platt took home top honors this past weekend at the National Guard FLW College Fishing Southern Conference Championship held in Arkansas.

SFA Baseball Camps Available In June

The Stephen F. Austin baseball team just ended the 2010-2011 season last weekend in San Marcos after finishing runner-up in the Southland Conference Tournament. The Lumberjacks have had a phenomenal season this year - breaking school history with a total of 37 wins and advancing to the championship game at the conference tournament.

Although the players are looking forward to getting a break this summer, the coaches can't wait to start their annual Lumberjack Baseball camps this month.

What a great game last night as the Texas A&M Lady Aggies brought home their first ever national championship with a 76-70 victory over Notre Dame.

What made the victory even more special for folks around here was the post-game, nationally televised interview with head coach Gary Blair.
