David Mueller, the former Denver radio personality whom a jury found assaulted and battered Taylor Swift by groping her, continues to deny any wrongdoing in his first interview since the ruling.

Speaking to ABC News’ Clayton Sandell on Good Morning America after the verdict, Mueller flatly denied that he had groped Swift during a meet and greet after her Denver concert in 2013.

"What I’m saying is I didn’t do what they said," he says emphatically. “I never grabbed her. I never had my hand under her skirt and I can pass a polygraph.”

A jury in Denver decided on Monday (Aug. 14) that Mueller was in the wrong in a lawsuit Swift filed accusing him of sexually assaulting her. Swift alleged that Mueller reached under her skirt and groped her butt, and the incident resulted in his firing from radio station KYGO. He sued Swift in 2015, accusing her of interference in his employment contract and slander. Swift countersued alleging assault in response, and while Mueller's claims were all thrown out of court, the jury sided with Swift on Monday, awarding her the symbolic one dollar she was asking for.

Mueller claims he wasn't ready for the photo, and says the awkward angle of his hand behind Swift was purely accident because he squeezed into the shot at the last minute. The former radio personality also says he wasn't initially looking for money before filing his $3 million lawsuit.

"I asked for something in writing which stated that there was a misunderstanding," he tells ABC. "And I can take that to possibly convince someone at a radio station to hire me."

Mueller says he is still trying to clear his name, adding that he may file an appeal.

Swift issued a statement thanking the judge and jury in the case after the verdict was read on Monday, saying, "My hope is to help those whose voices should also be heard." The superstar has announced that she is planning to make donations "to multiple organizations that help sexual assault victims defend themselves."
