We're down to the last two weeks of Texas High School Football playoffs, and we only have two remaining teams from the Deep East Texas area.

In Class 2a, the Newton Eagles have been rolling through the postseason as they are averaging well over 60 points a game and they have beat their playoff opponents by an average of over 40 points a game.  In Friday's state semifinal game, the Eagles will be playing against the Cameron Yoeman.  That game is schedule to kick off at 7:30 at Woodforest Stadium in the Woodlands.

In Class 1A, the Tenaha Tigers are just two wins away from claiming back to back state championship titles.  After edging by Frost last week, Tenaha will take on Falls City Friday night in Houston.

As always, ETSN.fm is the best place to keep up with High School athletics.
