A would be robber was shot and killed Tuesday night at a Raising Canes restaurant located near The Woodlands.

According to a report in the Courier of Montgomery County, a man wearing an all black hoodie entered the eatery around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday night and allegedly attempted to rob the store while brandishing a weapon.

Due to recent robberies at Raising Canes locations throughout Houston, an off-duty sheriff's deputy was working security at that restaurant.  According to reports, the officer told the suspect to drop his weapon.  When the suspect did not comply, the officer fired several shots, killing the man.

Two employees were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
