Drought in Texas
377913 04: Glen Armstrong walks in a field of dead peanut plants September 7, 2000 in Dublin, Texas where a drought has made his crop unharvestable. Armstrong said he has lived his whole life in Dublin and has never seen conditions as bad as they are now. The farmers across Texas are in dire straits as the state enters its 68th consecutive day without rain. The cracking soil is hard as a rock and unfit for planting in most areas.
