Raise your goblets and make way for the king and queen, the 40th anniversary of the Texas Renaissance Festival gets underway this weekend.

Whether you go dressed if full period regalia or just in t-shirt and shorts, you and your family will get the experience of a lifetime. The festival is open every weekend from October 11th to November 30th featuring traditional favorites like the Ded Bob Show and the Sturdy Beggars to newer features like the King Midas Masquerade.

The Texas Renaissance Festival is located about an hour west of Conroe.  It'll take you about 2 - 2 1/2 hours to get there from the Lufkin/Nacogdoches area.
