A Texas trooper in San Antonio accused of propositioning a female driver for sex has been fired.

Public Safety Trooper Christopher Champion was arrested and accused of stopping a woman driver and offering her $300 to have sex with him, The Houston Chronicle reports.

Champion was released Tuesday, Dec. 1 after being charged with soliciting prostitution and official oppression.

The incident, which happened in September, was the result of the trooper allegedly using the woman's cellphone to text himself her contact information before she left the traffic stop without a ticket.

The woman contacted Texas Rangers after the incident, leading to Champion's arrest.

No bail or attorney information was available in the online jail records.
