The Band Perry’s Album Goes Gold
I met Kimberly and her brotherReid in Memphis at the Country Cares convention last January, so I was very excited to hear the news that their self-titled debut album went Gold! This means that since releasing their new record in October, they've sold over 500,000 copies.
Congratulations to the band on such a wonderful accomplishment!
Taste of Country has the rest of the story after the bump.
The album is holding steady at No. 7 on the Billboard Country Albums chart and No, 37 on Billboard’s Top 200. The project includes their No. 1 hit, ‘If I Die Young,’ and their newest single, ‘You Lie,’ already at No. 25 on Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
Jimmy Harnen, the head of the trio’s label, says, “Having a gold record is a tremendous accomplishment and to achieve that status in just under four months is even more amazing. This award is yet another wonderful accolade in a spectacular year for The Band Perry.”
