Darrell Rogers, 43, of Lufkin was arrested late Tuesday night and charged with burglary of a habitation.

According to a Lufkin Police report, a homeowner was checking a residence that he was moving from.   The residence had been burglarized two times in the past two weeks so the homeowner went by around 11pm Tuesday to check on the house.  The homeowner saw a tall black male exiting the house as he approached.  A suspect matching the description provided by the homeowner was located a few blocks away by responding officers. The man was found to be in possession of a backpack and other miscellaneous items from the complainant’s house.

Those miscellaneous items included the backpack and multicolored scissors.

Rogers, the man arrested, was charged with the 2nd degree felony.  There was no word as to whether Rogers is a suspect in the previous two break-ins.
