General tickets for all shows for the upcoming 2018-2019 season of the Angelina Arts Alliance will go on sale Monday, August 6th when the box office opens at 11 a.m. The new season will kick off with Travis Tritt on Friday, September 7th.  The Marietta, Georgia native was a mainstay on the charts in the 1990's with hits such as 'Country Club', 'Here's A Quarter...', 'Anymore', 'It's a Great Day to be Alive', and many others.  Tritt will be appearing with his full band with the show set to start at 7:30 p.m.

On Sunday, October 14th, the undisputed carrier of the torch of Western Swing will be making their way to Lufkin.  Multiple Grammy Award winners, Asleep at the Wheel led by the legendary Ray Benson, will be on stage at the Temple Theater.  The band had its first gig in 1970 and since that time they've been cranking out the swing with classics such as 'Miles and Miles of Texas', 'Boogie Back to Texas', and 'Hot Rod Lincoln'.

Great country performances are just part of the upcoming star-studded season for the Angelina Arts Alliance. Here are other scheduled performances:

  • The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, Tuesday, December 4th, 2018.  15 of the finest jazz soloists and ensemble players today led by Marsalis will take the stage.
  • 'Something Rotten', Tuesday, January 22nd, 2019. Set in the 1590s, this hilarious smash has garnered 10 Tony nominations including Best Musical.
  • Jackie Evancho, Friday, February 1st, 2019.  Since she first dazzled American television audiences at the age of 10 – gaining global recognition with her stunning debut on NBC’s America’s Got Talent – Jackie Evancho has released a string of platinum and gold albums, with sales of over 2.5 million in the US.
  • Celtic Nights, Sunday, March 10th, 2019.  Celtic Nights-Oceans of Hope will tell the epic story through song, music and dance. The audience will be brought on this wonderful journey with two hours of high-quality entertainment direct from Ireland.
  • Pilobolus - Shadowland 2, Tuesday, April 9th, 2019.  Following sold-out performances of Shadowland, Pilobolus's new evening length show uses exploration of mixed media to tell a love story about two people and their quixotic quest to save an imaginary bird. For 45 years, Pilobolus has tested the limits of human physicality, exploring the beauty and power of connected bodies.
  • Finding Neverland, Wednesday, June 12th, 2019. This is a special event which is not included in the Subscription Series. The winner of Broadway.com’s Audience Choice Award for Best Musical, this breathtaking smash “captures the kid-at-heart,” says TIME Magazine.  FINDING NEVERLAND tells the incredible story behind one of the world’s most beloved characters: Peter Pan.
