It was a simple stage for Tim McGraw and Faith Hill as they sang "Speak to a Girl" at the 2017 ACM Awards on Sunday night (April 2). The song, and their performance, didn't need the usual distractions.

The band was heard, but barely seen as Hill and her husband of 20 years came together center stage to take the final chorus. Much like he does on the recorded version of the single, McGraw seems to be enjoying watching his wife prove she's in peak vocal shape more than anything. He was almost as much of a fan as the millions at home watching, and the tens of thousands — including country superstars in the front rows — at T-Mobile Arena.

Hill started, standing on stage right until slowly walking toward the vast center. McGraw entered stage left and did likewise. She was dressed in a gold gown, while her husband wore a black tuxedo, as he often does. In fact, they were similarly dressed the last time they shared the ACM Awards stage to sing "Meanwhile Back at Mama's" in 2014.

When the song finished, Hill nearly jumped in heels while McGraw quietly admired what had just happened. The song is the first single from a new joint album by the married couple. They'll also begin their tour this week in Louisiana.
