The speculation as to whether Tony Romo may be able to play in the NFC East deciding game this Sunday night is over.  According to a report from ESPN, Romo underwent surgery this morning to repair a herniated disk in his back.

The playoff fate for the Cowboys will now lie in the hands of Kyle Orton and perhaps backup QB Jon Kitna.  This will mark the 3rd straight year that the Cowboys would have to win their final game of the season in order to make the playoffs.  They failed to do so in 2011 and 2012.

The Eagles will be starting Nick Foles at quarterback who was a back up when the season started. However, Vick went down with an injury and Foles has improved to the point to where he should get serious consideration for the NFL's Rookie of the Year.

Philadelphia comes in as a touchdown favorite to win the game.
