On October 25th, officers with the Lufkin Police Department's Special Services Division “Street Crimes Unit” executed a Narcotics Search Warrant at Bowers’ Mobile Home Park #24, located in the City of Hudson. Sgt. Strickland advised that detectives began an investigation into Methamphetamine Trafficking within the City of Lufkin.  

During the investigation it was discovered that the suspect was living outside of Lufkin in the city limits of Hudson. LPD Street Crimes Unit Detectives contacted the Hudson Police Department (Chief of Police Jimmy Casper) and with their support continued the investigation. It was soon determined that the suspect was selling Methamphetamine from the residence in the City of Hudson as well as inside the City of Lufkin.

SSU Investigators were able to gather enough evidence to obtain a Search Warrant for the residence in the Bowers’ Mobile Home Park. SSU Officers executed the Search Warrant and took both suspects into custody. They were identified as Kayla Renfro, 26, and Charles Alan Williamson, 35.

Renfro had an active warrant for her arrest for Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1 (2nd degree Felony) and was additionally charged with Manufacture Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1/ (1st degree Felony) Williamson was charged with Manufacture Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1/ (1st Degree Felony) During the search of the residence Street Crimes Unit Detectives located over an ounce of Crystal Methamphetamine, marijuana, several pieces of drug paraphernalia along with plastic baggies and digital scales.

Sgt. Strickland said the investigation into this drug trafficking operation is ongoing and additional arrests are expected. Sgt. Strickland said, “This is the second search warrant executed in less than a week outside the city limits due to the illegal activity occurring within the city limits, regardless of which side of the green sign you actually live on, if you are poisoning our community, you are a Lufkin problem.”
