For most of this week, East Texans will experience beautiful, crisp Fall weather with plenty of sunshine and highs in the 50s and lows in the 30s.  However, that will change quickly once Friday gets here.

An upper level storm system from the West will combine forces with a surface low pressure system moving in from the Gulf to bring near 100% rain chances on Friday with the possibility of over 5 inches of rain falling across parts of the Pineywoods.  At this time, no severe weather is in the forecast, however, if that changes we will update this site.  Regardless, localized flooding is expected in some regions of Deep East Texas and Southeast Texas as the downpours start on Friday and end early Saturday.
