UT Austin Buildings Evacuated Due to Terrorist Threat

Around 8:45 this morning, emergency officials with the University of Texas alerted students and faculty to evacuate all buildings due to a multiple bomb threat.  According to sources, a male made a phone call indicating that he was with Al Qaeda and that numerous bombs had been placed throughout campus and they would explode around 10 this morning.

The UT Twitter page as of 10:45 this morning issued the following:

Time specified in phone threat has passed but we have not yet cleared all buildings. Decision to resume operations&classes will come shortly.
