Brandon Belt, who calls Hudson, Texas home, is trying to make the Major League Baseball All-Star Game for the second time in his career.  He made the team in 2016 by being voted in by fans for the annual 'All-Star Final Vote'.  In 2018, he's trying to take the same path.

The 'Final Vote' is an online promotion where five position players in each the American and National Leagues are chosen based upon their statistics for the current season. Whoever gets the most votes when voting ends this Wednesday evening will get the final nod into the All-Star Game.

Brandon Belt is batting .300 for the year, he has 13 homers, and he is currently 5th overall in the National League with an On Base Percentage of .393.  Belt is going up against Jesus Aguilar of Milwaukee, Matt Carpenter of St. Louis, Max Muncy of the Dodgers, and Trea Turner of Washington.

Voting ends at 3 p.m. Central time on Wednesday, July 11th.
