What’s Tax Free and What’s Not This Weekend in Texas

Tax-Free Weekend is here in Texas.  Through August 10th, you won't have to pay sales tax on a number of designated items, just in time for back to school. 

This will save you about $8 or every $100 spent, but many area stores are adding huge savings events on top of the sales tax break.  It's estimated that the average family will spend nearly $700 on back to school items.  By the way, if you're trying to stay indoors out of the heat, online purchases are also covered by this tax holiday.  When you proceed to the online check out area the sales tax should be waived.
