The images, the sounds, the feelings that I had 11 years ago on that fateful September 11th are still vibrant in my mind.

I still find it hard to watch videos of the towers falling to the earth, but, at the same time, I know I must never forget those visions.

I remember watching CNN here at the KICKS 105 Studios.  I had just finished doing a morning show interview with folks from the Chamber of Commerce in Lufkin.  We saw the jet fly into the first tower and the thoughts of this being a deliberate act had not even registered.  But, when we watched the second jet fly into the twin tower, we knew that our lives and the world as we knew it would never be the same.

Half a generation has passed since that day and I still have trouble wrapping my mind around the scope of what happened.  When I drive by skyscrapers in Houston, it's difficult to believe that two buildings bigger and taller than the ones I see came crashing down with a mass of steel and humanity.

I know that there are bad people that live on this planet, but I still cannot fathom what kind of human being would have so much hate in the heart as to carry this out.  Or for that matter, what would bring millions worldwide to celebrate this act of terrorism.   What kind of god do they worship?

I have no answers for those questions, but I do take comfort in one fact.

My God is great and He will conquer all evil.

May God continue to bless all those affected by the events of 9/11, and may God continue to bless America.
