The Texas Transportation Commission has given the go ahead for a $1.2 million project to widen 1.7 miles of FM 1194 in Hudson.  According to TxDOT, the project to improve safety and mobility on FM 1194 runs from FM 3150 to SH 94. It will provide for additional paved surface width including a three foot shoulder width.  Construction is expected to begin in September and end in late spring 2014. Moore Brothers Construction, a local contractor, was awarded the job.

Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling through construction and maintenance work zones. Remember, traffic fines double when workers are present.
