Woodland Heights Medical Center is happy to welcome Mariyam Cherry, M.D., back to East Texas.  Dr. Cherry is an Internal Medicine Physician, providing care for adult patients.
“I am so happy to return to East Texas,” said Dr. Cherry.  “I graduated from Livingston High School so I am familiar with the East Texas area.  My husband (Dr. Sunil Cherry) and I look forward to raising our family here.”

Dr. Cherry earned her Medical Degree from Penn State College of Medicine in 2013.  She completed both her Internship and Residency at Houston Methodist Hospital – Weill Cornell Medical College.  In addition to preventive care, Dr. Cherry will also treat conditions ranging from everyday illnesses to diabetes, heart disease and COPD.

“We are excited to welcome Dr. Cherry to the Woodland Heights Medical Staff,” states Kyle Swift, CEO of Woodland Heights.  “She is a welcome addition and I am confident in the quality care she will provide our patients in Angelina County and the surrounding area.”
