Two 90 point rides highlighted night number one of the Mutton Bustin' Championships Wednesday night at the Angelina Benefit Rodeo, but when the dust settled and the fleece cleared, 7 year old Emma Heckendorn of Hudson took home the trophy with a ride of 91 points.

Caden Burrous of Lufkin set the early bar for the night with a 90 point ride on the sheep named Forrest Gump.  Two riders later, Heckendorn climbed aboard Uptown Chunk.  After a few yards outside the bucking chute, Emma slipped sideways on the sheep, but her grip was strong and she rode horizontally for the rest of the long ride.

12 more riders will take their turn on Thursday.  The rodeo gets underway at 7 and tickets are still available for all nights of the rodeo at Cavenders in Lufkin.
