Disney had double the chances of walking away with the Best Animated Feature Oscar tonight with both Moana and Zootopia up for the prize. As many predicted, the animated allegory about race relations in America took home the award.

Zootopia, from directors Byron Howard and Rich Moore, follows the story of a young rabbit Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) who joins the police force in the titular big city to learn about the hostile relations between predators and prey. The film smartly weaves in commentary on police brutality and prejudice with light-hearted family-friendly comedy. Jason Bateman, Jenny Slate, Idris Elba, Oscar nominee Octavia Spencer, and J.K. Simmons also voice characters in the film.

Zootopia had the biggest opening of any Disney film in history last year and crossed $1 billion at the global box office. It also won the top prize at the Annie Awards earlier this month. The Disney film bested Kubo and the Two Strings, My Life as a Zucchini and The Red Turtle for the Oscar.
