City of Lufkin Reveals Light Up Lufkin Winners and Tour Route

For about the past month, the City of Lufkin Parks & Recreation Department has been accepting entries for the Light Up Lufkin contest. Residents inside the Lufkin city limits have been sending pictures of their beautiful holiday decorations.

In addition to showing off the Christmas spirit that exists in Lufkin, another purpose for sending the photos is to have the opportunity to win some great prizes.

Thanks to Saicam Electric, the top residential winner receives $500, while the top business entry gets $250.

There were a total of 45 entries. The home located at 2205 Moffett Road won the top residential prize, while St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church located at 1611 Feagin won the top business prize.

Residents in Lufkin, Angelina County, and across East Texas are encouraged to take a self-guided driving tour and see the holiday beauty of all the decorated homes and businesses. You can click on the link below to see a map of the locations of all the entries.

Here is a list of all the locations included in the 2023 Light of Lufkin event. You are welcome to drive by these locations, but do adhere to the traffic laws and drive safely. Of course, do not drive across or walk onto anyone's property

On Tuesday, December 19th and Thursday, December 21st, listen to KICKS 105 from 7 pm until 8 pm for sixty minutes of continuous Christmas music to accompany your self-guided tour.
