A Powerball Player from This Texas City Just Won $2 Million
Someone who lives in the eastern third of Texas has a Powerball ticket that will pay off a bunch of bills and have plenty left over.
Someone recently walked into this Speed Fuel convenience store located at 2740 Pasadena Boulevard in Pasadena, Texas...
...and decided to try their luck on Monday's $45 million Powerball jackpot.
That person did not match all six numbers but did match all five non-Powerball numbers to win $1 million. He or she also laid down the extra dollar to enact the Power Play feature. The Power Play number for Monday's drawing was 2. That means the $1 million payout doubles to $2 million!
No one matched all six numbers in the latest Powerball drawing, which means the next drawing on Wednesday will be for a $57 million jackpot.
A quick look at the Texas Lottery website and you can see many other opportunities to win big. The Lotto Texas drawing on Monday produced no grand prize winner, so that jackpot now rises to $43.5 million for the drawing on February 15.
Meanwhile, the Mega Millions jackpot is now up to $67 million for the drawing on Valentine's night. Mega Millions has a way to go before reaching its historic jackpot on January 13. Someone in Maine claimed that jackpot of $1.35 billion from this convenience store.
That same drawing produced a $1 million winner in Houston from this store.
Here's wishing you lots of chocolate, roses, and a winning lottery ticket for your Valentine's Day.
