Actual Complaints We Get About East Texas (And Our Responses)

No place that you go to will ever have the approval of EVERYONE. That's just how it is. And, East Texas isn't an exception to this rule. I mean, I think it's fantastic here, obviously, but everyone doesn't share that opinion.

But, just a quick tip, sometimes...no, MOST of the time, it's better to keep complaints to yourself. The list below contains actual complaints that I've heard about East Texas, from people just passing through. They're followed by true East Texas responses. Enjoy.

"There's too much pollen here." Really? You don't think our yellow blanket is too thick?

"There are too many trees." What exactly did you expect in the 'Pineywoods'...?

"There's nothing to do here." Well, you're still sitting there texting...try the outdoors.

"It's so humid here." Thank you for pointing out this fact of our daily life.

"Everybody here is too country with their country accents." Bless your heart.

"It's boring here." As compared to...sitting in hours-worth of traffic, perhaps?

"Everybody knows everybody." Pretty much.

"Nobody there has any class." Pardon me ma'am, but I'm going to disagree with that.
