August has only just arrived and football fever is already in full swing.  One of the major college football polls (USA Today Coaches Poll) has been published and it looks as though the Crimson Tide are reloading for another year.

The defending BCS National Champions are once again at top of the poll as they received 58 out of 62 first place votes.  Only Ohio State and Texas A&M received any of the other first place votes.

Rounding out the rest of the top five are the Buckeyes of Ohio State, Oregon, Stanford, and Georgia. As far as Texas teams go, the Aggies came in at number 6, the Texas Longhorns are at 15 and TCU ranks in at 20.  Baylor received some top 25 votes but enough to crack the preseason top 25.

College football season kicks off on Thursday, August 29th.  The Aggies, Longhorns, and Horned Frogs will have their first games on Saturday, August 31st.   The complete USA Today Coaches Poll is listed below.
