With $38 million to go to make Avengers: Endgame the #1 movie worldwide all-time, Disney is pulling out all the stops. This Friday, June 28, they are giving another big push to the film, with all sorts of new extras and freebies added to its already three-hour runtime. Via the press release:

Fans who buy a movie ticket will receive an exclusive piece of Avengers art (available in select theaters and until supplies run out) and will also be treated to a video introduction by director Anthony Russo and an unfinished deleted scene from the film, and it will be a chance for fans to get a head start on the upcoming Marvel Studios’ “Spider-Man: Far From Home” via a special sneak peek!

Here is the image of the free poster that will be handed out in theaters, via the official Avengers Twitter account.

According to Box Office Mojo, Avengers: Endgame has currently grossed $2.750 billion worldwide. But that still leaves it well behind Avatar (with $2.788 billion worldwide) for second place on the all-time list. I don’t know what the “unfinished deleted scene” is, and I’m sure the introduction is nice, but I’m not sure either one is going to be enticing enough to close that gap. (The film earned $1.9 million last weekend in just about 1,000 theaters around the country.) Of course, the whole Avengers’ motto in this movie was “Whatever it takes.” One imagines a similar ethos applies to getting Endgame that coveted title as the biggest film of all time.
